Tanks
They are designed accoridng to API 620 for temp. (-198 C to 121 C)/650 for higher temp. (-40 C to 260 C)
- Fixed roof tank: not good for vapors with high vapor pressure, good for untoxic and inflammable liquids
. Dome roof tank are usually self-supported, is more expensive than cone roof.
. Cone roof tank are mostly column-supported tank
2. Floating roof tank: to store volatile oil like gasoline or light oil, floats up and down with the liquid level.
Bund/Dyke Wall around the tank to create space for contain any spills or leaks. Fuel spill kits should contain materials such as fuel absorbents, drain seals, leak sealing putty, over drums and personal protective equipment. Through the use of spill kits, it will be ensured that the spill is cleaned up using adsorbents.
